This year’s Urban Epic is everything you want in a triathlon. You will come away from the race feeling like a pro, and you will celebrate with friends and family right at the finish line. There will be elements that you won’t see at any other race you do in New England, including:

A BIKE COURSE THAT IS CLOSED TO CARS! This is your chance to race like a pro on City Streets, including Franklin Arterial, Marginal Way, Preble Street, and Baxter Blvd. We’re even closing down exits from the highway for you!

A SPECTACULAR RUN! Every moment of the entire course is on sidewalk and trail with stunning views of Casco Bay. No other triathlons can compare.

A FINISH ON THE MAINE STATE PIER in the HEART OF THE OLD PORT! With a massive stage, live music by Jason Spooner Trio, the Smuttynose Beer Garden, the Mammut Climbing Wall and lots of vendors, the Pier will be one awesome summertime party.

A LOT OF FUN FOR SPECTATORS! Unlike every other triathlon, the Urban Epic offers lots for friends and family to do while you are out racing. From parks and playgrounds near the swim start, to a finish line festival, this event is fun for all. Plus we will have MULTIPLE ANNOUNCERS out on the course giving exciting updates all morning and keeping the energy high!
